Do you like to travel or have you always wanted to travel?
Many of us cannot go around the world in 80 days, but thankfully, we have a whole lifetime.
My name is Mamadou and the only thing I dream about is travel. It feeds my soul. Everyday during my travels, I have something to look forward to, whether it’s simple activities, such as walking in town or amazing experiences like skydiving. The local people and the travelers we meet on vacation are walking encyclopedias with a totally different life from ours, therefore I always find myself learning, remembering and embracing every interaction I get.
My entourage, especially my elder sister Hadiatou, encourages me to see the world through telling me about her stories abroad. I get this feeling of adventure. The photos of her vacations are always mesmerizing (ps: she’s in the thank you postcard).
When I am back in my reality, I feel blue. I find myself reliving the past and looking through my photos. I am holding on to the past adventures and in order to get some sort of closure, I decided to start this candle business. Every scent reminds me of a destination I’ve been to or I wish to go to. When I light the candle up, I get submerged back into the holiday and it gives me comfort. I like to think that each candle is a love-letter.
In short, the goal of this company is to encourage you to travel and to remind you of your old travels. Like the Mamma Mia movie says, “ Life is short, the world is wide, i am going to make some memories”
